We were honored to welcome HRSA Administrator Tom Engels and Congressman Greg Murphy to Agape Health Services in Washington last Friday for a very special announcement!
Agape Health Services was selected to receive one of three federal grants awarded through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to help expand access to behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment in rural communities.
This funding will help us continue addressing a critical need across Eastern North Carolina by strengthening access to treatment, recovery services, and the ongoing support patients need close to home.
During their visit, Administrator Engels and Congressman Murphy joined Agape leadership and community partners to recognize the impact this investment can have on individuals and families throughout our region. We also had the opportunity to share more about the work our team is already doing and our continued commitment to providing accessible, compassionate, whole-person care.
We are incredibly grateful to have been selected for this funding and for the opportunity to continue growing behavioral health and substance use disorder services for the communities we serve.
Thank you to Administrator Tom Engels, Congressman Greg Murphy, and our community partners for joining us to celebrate this exciting investment in rural healthcare. 💚
Most importantly, this funding is about our patients. It means more opportunities for people in our rural communities to receive the behavioral health and substance use disorder care they need without having to leave the communities they call home. It means meeting patients with compassion when they take that difficult first step toward seeking help—and continuing to walk alongside them through treatment, recovery, and beyond.
Every patient deserves access to care, support, and hope for a healthier future. We are proud that this grant will help Agape reach more people, strengthen the care we provide, and ensure that more of our neighbors across Eastern North Carolina have somewhere to turn when they need help most.
