Agape Attends NCOA Conference in Arlington

Last week, Agape Health Services had the opportunity to attend the National Council on Aging (NCOA) Conference in Arlington, Virginia, joining organizations, healthcare providers, community leaders, and aging services professionals from across the country.

The conference focused on innovative strategies to support healthy aging, improve quality of life for older adults, and expand access to evidence-based programs that promote independence, wellness, and fall prevention. Attendees participated in educational sessions covering topics such as chronic disease management, mental and behavioral health, social connectedness, caregiver support, health equity, and community-based wellness initiatives.

A key emphasis throughout the conference was the importance of collaboration among healthcare providers, community organizations, and public health agencies to address the evolving needs of older adults. Presenters shared successful models and best practices for increasing engagement, improving outcomes, and reducing barriers to care.

Agape was proud to represent our community and gain valuable insights that will help strengthen our existing programs, including our Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention classes and other initiatives designed to promote healthy aging and wellness throughout eastern North Carolina.

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from national leaders in the field and look forward to incorporating these ideas into our ongoing efforts to improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve.
