Agape Health Services was proud to spend time on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. this week, meeting with members of Congress to advocate for the continued protection of the 340B Drug Pricing Program — a program that is critical to the patients we serve.
Administered by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the 340B Program allows Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) like Agape to purchase outpatient medications at reduced prices — helping us stretch limited resources and reinvest savings directly into patient care.
For our rural communities in eastern North Carolina, 340B:
• Expands access to affordable medications
• Supports integrated primary and behavioral health services
• Strengthens pharmacy sustainability
• Funds care coordination and chronic disease management
As an FQHC, our mission is to provide comprehensive care regardless of a patient’s ability to pay. Protecting 340B helps ensure we can continue delivering equitable, community-based healthcare to those who need it most.
Advocating for 340B is advocating for our patients — and we are grateful for the opportunity to represent them on Capitol Hill.
